puzzle as a form of student independent work in the study of anatomy in medical
school

The central problem of higher education is the quality
of training specialists, ready to solve unusual problems, prioritize, accept
innovations and make the right decision. Leading role in the development of
such skills is a technique and teaching, effective use of new teaching methods,
modern computer technology, and the European experience of higher education.
The
development of science, society, new technology is so fast that the new
knowledge fairly quickly loses its relevance, out of date. Knowledge approach
is narrow, because of a significant increase in information, with more and more
problematic is the question of allocation of material to be studied, not to
mention the possibility of its development and motivation of students. It is
also necessary to remember that the feature of knowledge-education is the focus
of its reproduction. In this regard, in the last decade been actively
introducing innovative methods of using the new, progressive technologies.
Innovative
educational technology ¬ generate from the student the ability to navigate the
non-standard conditions, to analyze problems, self ¬ drafting the times and
implement management decisions. Today, many universities are using interactive
methods such as the case -games, trainings, case studies, workshops, creative
assignments, press conferences, testing, preparation of analytical reports,
studies on the case, game studies, the research method of training, post tests,
round tables, multimedia lectures and practical classes, e-books.
Among
all this variety there is a simple but effective method - making thematic
crosswords.
Crosswords
(English - the intersection of words) - the most common game in the world with
words. Crossword puzzles became popular in the early 20th century. To the title
of the homeland crossword claim the UK, USA and South Africa. The first
crossword puzzles in Russian writer Nabokov compiled and published in the
appendix "Our World" to the newspaper "rudder" in February
1925 in Berlin.
The
purpose of technology crossword puzzle - the development of the basic qualities
of creativity as fluency, flexibility, and originality of the idea developed of
ideas, active creative self-development, intellectual autonomy of students.
The result - activation of student's mental
activity.
Technology is linked to the crossword design and gaming
technology. And so it has similar ideas with them. This is - developing,
activity, person-oriented, research, communicative, reflective approach. Like
any other project, crossword focused on the individual student. And this is one
of the most important requirements for project assignments.

components of the puzzle technology:
educational and cognitive

control and evaluation activities

motivation
Factors that stimulate students' interest in the
implementation of a project assignment, the following:
the ego factor (possibility
for students to talk about their plans),
fun factor
factor variability and diversity
problematic factor
novelty factor.
Goal setting - the knowledge and ability to plan their
actions, set milestones, ability to build their future actions.
Thus, a crossword puzzle - a convenient form of enhancing
students' thinking. In preparation for crossword student should carefully study
the theoretical and practical material to treat not only for lectures and
textbooks, but also to additional and background literature. In the course of
this study and selection of material a student, no doubt, more deeply absorb
the material already produced and acquires additional information, which
gradually accumulates to form a higher level of knowledge. At the same time,
non-standard form of assignment encourages unconventional approach to fulfill
this task, therefore, is activated not only cognitive activity, but also the
creativity of future specialists.
It is advisable to use a crossword puzzle as a form of
independent student work.
In the course of development of the discipline "Human
anatomy" of thematic crossword puzzles - easy and effective form of
independent student work at the end of the study of semantic units
"Musculoskeletal system", "Splanhnology" "Nervous
System", "Angiology" and "Senses"
Experience in the use of such forms of work shows that
most students informally suited to perform this task. You can identify the
following advantages of using crossword puzzles as a form of independent
student work:
1) the repetition of the material studied with access to
a deeper level of study;
2) development of the students the basic concepts of
discipline;
3) the expansion of active vocabulary;
4) the creative and research work on the conceptual
apparatus of each anatomical education, practical skills of correct and precise
formulation of questions and tasks, and as a result - the creation of a strong
base of practically oriented knowledge and skills;
5) The creative attitude to the job, contributing to
the development of creative thinking of students, the development of custom
solutions;
6) increase in interest in the discipline, and
indifferent to the results of their work.
