Informational provision of the economic
researches
According to the aim and tasks of the research
the need in the information is formed, is explained the set of indexes which
characterize the object, is realized the collection, accumulation and
generalization of the facts, are selected and carefully analyzed the
informational sources. To provide certain scientific research with the
information, it is needed, first of all, to define clearly on the contextually theoretic
level the necessary volume and structure of the information, to determine its
sources, find the access to the available informational resources.
The carriers of the initial information are the
books (textbooks, monographs), periodical press (magazines, scientific works,
bulletins), CDs, documents and also unpublished materials such as manuscripts,
dissertations, scientific reports, materials of the conferences, reports in
different spheres of science.
During all the history of the humanity it has been
accumulated the great amount of the initial documents. According to the UNESCO
returns the world's fund of the technical science literature is more than 200
billions names. Besides, millions of unpublished documents are also kept. To
use such informational fund is very difficult, even we may say impossible.
The role of the guide-book in this immense
massive of the information belongs to the secondary documents which inform the
users about the availability and context of published and unpublished documents
in active and laconic or detailed form. These can be printed cards,
demonstrations, essay magazines, express-information, analytical references,
surveys and so on.
Secondary documents give the information about
the condition, tendencies and prognosis of the development of the problem under
research or of the certain branch of knowledge, critical appraisals,
conclusions, propositions with footnotes on the origins. This gives the user
the opportunity of the non-stop following the appearance of the new information,
carrying out the diagnostics and prognosis of the development of the subject
branches, defining the ways of solution of the problems in all the spheres of
the social activity.
For the scientist the final product
is the information which has the knowledge of the actual character. The sources
of such information are different:
• official publications of state organs:
juridical acts, statistical collections, bulletins, express-information;
• the literature of the business character to
be used by the specialists on practice: management, finance, commerce
marketing, statistics, juridical and so on;
• special literature: technical science
literature, technological, normative, patent documentation, production
catalogues, registers, reference books;
• scientific and education-methodical books in
different branches of knowledge, dictionaries, encyclopedias, bibliographic
editions;
• initial calculation and technical
documentation, accounting and statistical reports;
• Internet data basis.
The access to the informational resources is
accomplished with the help of different systematic and juridical instruments.
These are dictionaries, thesauruses and classifications, instructions and
methodical materials, statutes and regulations, schemes, descriptions, soft
ware, Internet. Each type of the informational product demands specific
technology of its receiving.
With the increased influence of the science on
the production and economy in general the demands to the informational
provision also increased, special organizations were formed such as institutes
of the technical science information, analytical centers, essay, informational
and consulting services and means of circulation and transference of the
information.
Recently the practice of informational provision
has been including informational technologies which are based on the usage of
the computers and telecommunications.
The global source of information becomes
Internet. Information-search systems based on the modern technologies greatly
enlarge the abilities of the informational provision of the economic research.
The following development of the informational systems is foreseen in the
creation and exploitation of the electronic data basis which contain selected
and classified materials, and also nets of the feed of the data which provide
access to the basis on line as well as off line.
