Nationalism in Ukraine

Nationalism nowadays is a very extraordinary and at the same time usual for Ukrainian internal policy and social life.

The history of Ukrainian nationalistic movement is rather rich for different tendencies and aspects and takes it's beginning in the roots of fighting for independence of Ukraine.

So we can say that fighting for independence of Ukrainian nation is strongly connected with the development of nationalistic ideas and front.

During all the centuries from the birth of Ukrainian nationalistic ideas till now they continue to exist in people's consciousness and are active in Ukrainian society.

We can see that many problems of the past that were considered and taken to attention by the nationalists in the past are not loosing its actuality and importance nowadays.

As the examples of such words I can identify and point out the situations around Ukrainian and Russian languages and their part in state's social structure (educational, executive, law systems etc.),

Problems of saving of ethnic national traditions and culture, historical processes and unordinary problem questions, problems of national economy in the conditions of globalization, integration and wide spreading influence of transnational companies. How to keep the country monolith, centralized, conservative, strong, independent and sovereign in conditions of economic competition, globalization processes?

The enemies of nationalistic ideas often call them extremistic, anti-Semitic, racist, neonazi etc. but in most cases such statements don't have under itself real platform of truth.

Yes, rather often for just an ordinary citizen of Ukraine it's rather difficult to see and to compare in his consciousness the difference between healthy nationalistic idea which is legislative legalized and nazi extremistic ideas.

The reason of this propaganda of antinational systems of mass media and movements, parties, organizations of communistic, socialistic and extraliberalistic, social, politic directions.

For my opinion the goal and reason for such propaganda is the goal for economic development in the interests of the criminal clans which are close to executive and legislative power in Ukraine in conditions of imperfect Ukrainian democracy

because often nationalistic ideas confront the geopolitical and economic cooperation ideas of such forces and create diplomatic conflict situations which influence economic connections.

Betraying national ideas for economic profits and advantages is just an ordinary thing for many political forces, just following the easiest way forgetting ethnic and national pride and interest of the whole state and nation in replacement moving the synthetic illusion ideas of confrontation of the west and east to broad masses,

there by destructing and directing out nation's consciousness from essential daily economic problems destabilizing social, national ethnic unity.

I think healthy conservative moderate modern nationalistic ideas have the right to exist and our society and carry many useful ideas which unite the nation and direct to the strongness and prosperity.

Besides during last five years we can see that some part of people support such ideas more and more mostly in patriotic circles and regional groups of our country it proves my statement given higher in my article.

If we turn our attention of the place of nationalism in European countries we can see that in Europe also such ideas exist perfectly well and partly supported by people (for example Austria, Holland, France, Italy).

So as the direction of political and social thinking nationalism perfectly exist and have the right to develop and support the views of nationalistic mooded people, like the other ideologies and intellectual political formations for fighting for the executive, legislative power and providing state policy for the nation's prosperity, interests and for higher place in world community.
