Computer graphics as an aspect of
the formation of information competence
Informatization in modern society has led to a change in the existing
content of school computer science course
based on the introduction of its new information technology, in
connection with this was changed an approach to the preparation of competitive
specialists. At present there is a problem of developing methods of teaching
computer graphics in computer science with modern social demands and removes
the contradictions between the high level of development of efficient
processing of graphic, textual, numerical information and the level of
methodical preparation of future competitive specialists.
It is necessary to use conceptually new approaches to the use of new
technologies in art and design education, new methods and techniques,
approaches and forms of education which would meet the requirements of our
time.
Currently, there is a need in the introduction section of informatics,
such as computer graphics.
Computer graphics is a synthetic object, connecting knowledge,
technology and aesthetics of drawing, painting with computer technologies.
At present no computer graphics can not do any print edition, no
advertisement or video clip. The root cause of this popularity is the extremely
large image processing capabilities available in electronic form. All that
other arts professionals create for years, often a computer designer creates a
few hours.
To do this a person must have only artistic taste and knowledge as a
basic artistic and in the field of applied graphics programs, all the rest of
the graphics program will do itself.
The development of computer graphics involves the formation of
information skills, as well as many-sided training in new information
technologies.
In the design and construction of the course teaching techniques of
computer graphics require the most effective way of training and learning
activities of students with the development of their skills and accumulated
experiences of the computer training.
The combination of traditional
and new media in teaching computer graphics must eliminate stereotyped classes,
make them more interesting and provide a higher level of assimilation of the
material.
Naturally, there are many unresolved in the learning process: the
scientific and methodical, psychological, pedagogical and other problems.
Preparation of a modern competitive specialist implies the knowledge of
possession methodology, based on modern examples of understanding reality,
which involves the use of modern information technologies and the ability to
work with information and communication technologies, local and global computer
networks, with modern software, graphics raster, vector and three-dimensional
graphics, multimedia.
Another aspect of the formation of the information competence in the
study of computer graphics is the production of newsletters, brochures, fliers,
their own low-circulation newspapers and books, active participation in
competitions, contests of various levels, in the work of scientific societies
and so on.
This can help computer science dealing with methods for creating and
editing images using information and communication technologies.
In connection with the introduction of the course "Computer
graphics", it is necessary to enter the achievement of which will be
formed of competence.
•
Formation of information culture, meet the requirements of information
society;
•
Working out understanding of the purpose and the foundations of computer
graphics;
•
Development of special terminology;
•
Familiarity with some
of the features raster
graphics editor Adobe Photoshop;
•
Cooperation in teams in different age groups;
•
Development of artistic taste and imagination, the creative activity of
students.
With successful
implementation and use of the course "Computer Graphics" can provide
the following information competence:
•
Scope of computer graphics;
•
Features, advantages and disadvantages of raster graphics;
•
Features, advantages and disadvantages of vector graphics;
•
Methods of describing colours in computer graphics, colour models;
•
How to get colours on the monitor and printer;
•
Ways to store images in files of raster and vector formats;
•
Image data compression techniques;
•
Bases of computer typesetting.
