Comparative
analysis of mobile telecommunication sphere in Russian Federation and Turkish
Republic using differential equations
In
the present day the conditions of globalization on major value gets not only
research and the analysis of economy of the separate countries, but also the
joint comparative review of an economic situation in the different countries,
and also research of separate segments of economy of the various countries with
respect to their comparison for revealing of substantial universal economic
tendencies of development. Now the majority of domestic comparative researches
in the area of economy are devoted to comparison of experience of the western
countries to the Russian realities, and also development of recommendations for
updating of development of economy of the Russian Federation on the basis of
experience of the European Union countries and the USA. Revealing the strengths
of an economy in the developed countries and transposition of their positive
experience on strategic planning of economy in these countries, certainly, this
is the major component of formation. The given process is the implementation of
the theory for a benchmarking in management of developing country economy.
Revealing of these strengths for competitors while using positive experience of
functioning of competitors, allows us to avoid some errors and to pass certain
stages to do faster development. On the other hand, it is necessary to remember
that the benchmarking assumes an alignment on more succeeding competitor who is
comparable on parameters of functioning with investigated object. In this case,
it is necessary to notice that direct comparison of economies in the Russian
Federation and in the European countries or even in USA which is absolutely
legal. Distinction in historical and in cultural heritage, and also that is
more important to notify that, distinctions in economic realities of
functioning don't allow such comparisons to be adequate.
In
such situation, it is rather interesting to spend comparison of some segments
of economy in the Russian Federation with the country, on the one hand, in an
economic context comparable with Russia, and on the other hand, being already
long time the trade and economic partner of the Russian Federation. In this
paper comparative economic aspects of functioning of some segments of the
Russian Federation and Republic Turkey will be considered.
Close
trade and economic relations of the Russian Federation and Turkish Republic
allow researcher to make a conclusion about an importance of joint research of
economy of both countries for revealing of the future tendencies of development
of each country and, as consequence, forecasting of prospects of the further
cooperation.
In
the field of the comparative analysis of an economic situation of both
countries a lot of researches are spent; however rather not enough studied is
the sphere of services of the Russian Federation and Turkey, namely sphere of
telecommunication services and mobile communication services.
The
markets of mobile communication services in Russia and in Turkey are
comparable. The volume of the telecommunication market of Turkey in 2010 had
been reached to 23.8 bln. dollars whereas in Russia in 2010 the volume of the
telecommunications market had been 42,5 bln. dollars according to magazine
CNews that practically twice exceeds a similar indicator for Turkey. However
the ARPU (Average Revenue per User) indicator demonstrates similarity in
telecommunication branch of the given countries, ARPU in the Russian Federation
averages 29 dollars, and for Turkey on the average 32 dollars per person.
Similarity
in branch of mobile communication services between two countries can be noticed
and in the analysis of structure of the market of mobile communication
services. The market of mobile communication services represents an
oligopolistic completion between the main companies: they are "MTS",
"MegaFone", "Beeline" and "Tele2". These
companies are the leaders of the market while other companies present
themselves as minority in the market "form" as united fourth player.
In
Turkish Republic, the structure of oligopolistic competition in the mobile communication
the market services also needed to be looked clearly through. The basic main
competitors of this market are the «Türk Telekom» (its division of mobile
communication «Avea»), "Türkcell" and «Vodafone Turkey»
companies. Like as in Russian Federation relatively small companies “form” one
more player of the market.
In
order to do further research, the differential model of dynamics of activity of
the companies-operators for the services of the mobile communication market in
the Russian Federation and in the Turkish Republic being used progressively.
The model is based on interference of the volume of subscribers and revenue of
the company-operator. It also takes into account such parameters as;
·
First, the average level of expenses
of one subscriber on mobile communication services,
·
Second outflow of subscribers
(subscriber’s churn)
·
Finally, expenses of the mobile
operator on attraction of subscribers.
From the mathematical point of view the given
model is based, on the one hand, on the recurrent equation, that connected
subscriber's base of the company during the various periods of time. On the
other hand, the model assumes step growth of user's base of the
company-provider that is approximated by anti-tangent functions type where the
argument is a volume of expenses of the mobile operator on attraction of new
subscribers in the company.
The
system of the equations which is concerning subscriber’s volume of the company
became result of use of the given model. These equations allow to calculate
subscriber’s volume for the future period under some initial data about
quantity of subscribers of the mobile operator.
Also
the great attention is paid to comparison of the coefficients of differential
equations of the models for Russian and Turkish data.
